Looking at the Big Picture For Math and beyond P4

Had the privilege of presenting at the P5 Parents Workshop on the Saturday after the viewing of examination script on Friday and here are some slides to show the leap from P4 to P5 and then P6
Will like to highlight the importance of the topics, “Fractions” and “Decimals” as with “Whole Numbers”, they will eventually form 30% of the questions tested.

Coupled with the fact that “Fractions” and “Decimals” will be linked to ratio and percentage, the result is 42% which is why these topics are termed focused topics. One would really need to build a strong foundation in them.

And on a more serious note, P4s do only 5 problem sums making up 20 marks. Next year in P5, it’d be 18 Problem sums making up 60 marks.
